Friday, March 4th, 2016

Homework:  Read for at least 30 minutes a day. This includes Friday, so you should have read for 1.5 hours by Monday morning.

Eco:  Can members of the Eco patrol, and anyone leading the waste information training with the primary students, try to be at school a bit early on Monday? We have reflections to complete.
Also, we could get some photos from Room 309.
The photos that were taken have no been uploaded to my drive; therefore I cannot print them. This will need to be done Monday morning before nine, so if you are a person who was uploading the photos or knows what drive they are in, can you be at school at eight?

Thank you.

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016

That was a wonderful trip to Lake St. George Conservation Area. We learned about Natural Science (biology), Canadian History, teamwork, cooperation, survival skills, and how to be an Eco-leader. It is difficult to decide which was the best part, but for me it was inspiring to see the joy of learning in a natural environment.
Also, having a campfire with marshmallows in a snowstorm was definitely a new and beautiful experience.
Tomorrow we will spend the morning doing ecology related activities. Then it will be a Math afternoon as we present Measurement posters, and begin fractions.

Thank you parents for sending your children on this enriching experience!
