Island School Trip:
DO NOT bring electronics of any kind. If there is an emergency, contact Ms. Li or Mr. Crichton at 416-393-1260.
DO NOT bring junk food or any food that contains or may contain nuts.
Bring:
-water bottle, not disposable
-weather appropriate clothing
-footwear, inside and outside
-linens such as a sleeping bag or blankets and sheets
-pillow
-toiletries such as a towel, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, brush/comb, etc.
-lots of socks
-books, cards, games
We are meeting on Monday morning at 8:45 in front of Rose Ave School. Do not come into the school; teachers will be outside.
Please pick up your child on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Math test tomorrow!
Grade 5:
-write decimals to fractions and vice versa
-order numbers (fractions, decimals, whole numbers) by value
-equivalent fractions
-estimating quotients using decimals
-multiplying and dividing decimals
-perimeter
Grade 6:
-see above plus decimals, percent, and ratio
Friday-we begin algebra! And continue poetry and figurative language, which will improve your writing generally.

If you have time and access, go to mathfrog.ca to play the game. It will be on the bottom of the sheet, but click on Kidz, your grade, and Number Sense to find the game.
Language: What is poetry? Explain anything you know about poetry as a form of literature.

Wednesday is the Day of Pink. We wear pink and do equity based activities to reflect on discrimination and homophobia.
Also on Wednesday is our YPT pre-show workshop at 2:30!

Library tomorrow so bring your books back.
Next Friday is a Professional Development Day. Teachers will be working and learning at school but you will not, because you will be at home doing homework and getting rest and exercise!

Those who have not finished their persuasive letters have until tomorrow to hand it in.

Art: Have you finished your Zentangle? Reflection sheet will be handed out and due Friday.
Math: If you have time, go to ixl.com and find your grade level. Try some of the exercises that are about fractions. It will cut you off after about 20 questions, but it's useful. If you get an answer wrong it will tell you the right way.
